    seat help

    so i've finally gotten into the realm of having to have a helmet to run at the track... only problem is i've got a fox body with new edge power seats, and i'm 6'5 so my head is basicly touching the headliner as is... so my question is, if i buy some new seats like the summit sport seats, will it lower it any from the factory seat that's in it? i imagine it will but am not sure. i dont really have the cash to buy expensive corbeau seats or anything like that but i dont want to put flat out racing seats in it... my budget is less than 200 each with brackets.... but i need to have more headroom otherwise it is pointless... also i need to be able to buy individually because i will buy the drivers seat first and the passenger seat later on. anyone have any ideas?

    What rack you using?

    I was able to fit in with helmet (im only 5 11) in the 85 but i have the 85 manual rack with the 03 seats......
    I did notice a little difference in the seat frame on the 03 seats vs the 85 and even the 96 seats. Appears they made a change in the seat fram to clear the larger rack (6 way) to me.
    I had to run a 1/2 in spacer between seat and rack to mount the 85 rack to the 03 seat.

    so you're saying if i mounted the seat on a fox body seat track it may give me a little more clearance? 'cause the power seat track is HUGE...

    man I'm following this post. I'm 6'2" and 310 lbs and need all the clearance I can get.

    6'2 here, probaly why i would run 1-2 passes without helmet until they notice, then i call it a night, maybe run 1 more with my helmet almost sideways wich usually made me shift slower, it sux

    It should get yo a little room they look a little shorter than the power racks.
