I personally think the Magnums are kick ass cars. You're the one paying the payment every month and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Just make sure the Cobra goes to a good home, maybe do a screening and background check on everyone interested! Haha!

I say go for it. Hopefully it wont be too much of a slug. Also, just think about the 06/07 cobra. IMO, Ford is definately learning alot about how far it can take the modular motors with supercharging.

Yea, this decision sucks but I'm doin' it..it's not like there won't be more Cobras to buy later on...and it sucked even worse when I went into the gargage this morning and watched her sleep, all peaceful like...then I woke her up, she got all disgruntled, started to snort and raise her voice...she was fumin'...I apologized like normal but it was too late, she was turned off at this point. All well, that will learn me...I should have driven her anyway...she occasionally likes it rough...she isn't foolin' me!

Mick by no means does this suck. Its all good man. You are doing this for the right reasons. Kids and family always come first to me and they are obviously just as important to you. Trust me when the day comes when you drop the kids off at school in the wagnum and you roll away with the growl from the hemi your kids are gonna look back and say yep thats my dad's ride with a proud grin on thier face.

and hey...like I said its all good...at least it aint a minivan....Cuz then I'd be at your house smacking you around asking what the hell you were thinking.

haha...it's funny you say that about the kids because they are more psyched about the Magnum than I am...although I am pretty psyched as well. I've done a lot of reading on that car and can't wait to test drive it tomorrow. I am hoping it doesn't let me down.

I still think it is a better idea to sale Julie's car (sorry Julie) and the explorer, NOT the cobra. Life can turn on a dime and maybe you'll never get another chance to own a cobra again, you never know. I just think is a big mistake to get rid of the Cobra. Sorry I just hate to see an awesome, well taken care off, good looking car traded for a STATION WAGON no matter how much more hp it's got it's still a STATION WAGON. Have you even driven the station wagon yet???? If you don't absolutely love it, you shouldn't get it. Just my .02 . Good luck with your decision .

:woot:

i agree whole heartidly. id really hate to see the cobra go mick. i dunno if i could help you zaino a wagnum... hehe

but if its what ya gotta do, its what ya gotta do. im just still confused at why the exploder wont cut it...

edit: how many miles does the exploder have on it? if its still in good shape a little more down the road, itd be a great car to give to one of the kiddies for their first car!

mick, homeslice, cheeze wizz...

i HATE to see the cobra go, but i can totally understand your reasoning.

and i gotta admit, the Magnum is a pretty sweet ride (when done right) i think they look real nice with some aftermarket rims on them... the stock rims look cheesy.

anyways... with that being said, i just hope somehow you guys can make a deal and keep it in the LSS family. like you've said before, whoever buys that cobra will be getting a car that has been babied like none other... so i'd hate to see it end up in the hands of someone that would abuse it.

but i know you've probably already thought about all of this and already have a good idea of who you'll sell it to.

oh and... one last thing... WHY NO MORE BLACK CARS!!?! c'mon mang! black ownz!

John...2 door family cars just aren't real family friendly...

Jefe: Black is such a PITA and I am tired of it being a PITA come clean time...black owns all but I'm tired and old.

Depends on the size of those doors. The Mark VIII seats 5 adults very comfortably and has tons of trunk space. And with the motorized front seats, it's actually easier to get into the back than my wife's 4 door Mercedes was. Too bad they don't make real full-sized coupes anymore. Anyway, if I could have my pick of any family vehicle on the market, it would be the Magnum. Station wagons are much more family friendly than mini-vans and suv's. I guess that's why every european automaker never stopped making them. Good luck with the new car.

Silly question, but are you going to get the Magnum w/ the V6 or HEMI option? :woot:
