Is it one of these?
The fan looking one is traction control.

I believe the fan thingy one is low coolant or something to do with your radiator.

Thansk Tracy, but the light is where the CHECK FUEL CAP light woudl be, but it is another CODE. It is weird, casue it comes on at weird times....like a fuse or wire is loose. Good try. Damn Hypertech could not pick up anything. Not traction control, this thing kinda looks liek abattery, with a fan or X inside of it.

If it looks like a battery it's probably the alternator. Check the voltage. If it is your alt, I have one from my 99. I also have Autotap if you want to try that.

What are some signs if it is the alternator? Plus I have the same stock battery from when I purchased the car new in 2000. Could the battery be going out? Someone on StangNet said that it was the coolant level. I had a tech in the back add some coolant to the radiator and evidently he said, that there is a photocell, in the radiator cap that will trigger the service light to light up. Tracy, do you think it would the alternator or battery?

Chris, I have an extra battery from the Roush when I put the Optima on. You're welcome to it if you want it. It's only a year old.

If it has a "X" in it, it's your coolant. Any leaks on your driveway or garage floor?

Chris,
Did it throw an SES code? I didn't know there was a light for coolant. Did the temp gauge move? Did you smell coolant? Do your fans come on?
The rad caps do go bad.

Yeah there is. Mine came on in the 2000 GT after I got it back from NS Ford when the motor had to be pulled. Todd had me add water at the gas station we were at after we were kicked out of Windsor Park mall parking lot years back.....

Temp guage did not move, and no smell of a coolant leak. Fans did not come on, and the car ran as it usually does. SO then get a new raditor cap? But do they have those photocells to trigger low coolant?

well there ya go then Chris

The Cobra must not have one cuz I've pushed nearly all the coolant out twice and never got a light. Just lots of steam and a burning smell.

Does your fan come on at all? Ever? If not, that's probably the root of your problem.
Call me Chris.
