Shifter switch questions?

Anybody know how hard it is to switch out for a short throw shifter? Or is it just a simple pop out and replace job?

Also how long it might take to do?

Really is is quite simple.

Remove the plastic bezel around the shift lever. Put your fingers at 4 and 8 o'clock and just pull up gently.

Remove the rubber sound deading material. This may or may not be reused depending on the brand of short throw shifter you have.

Remove 4 bolts and lift old shifter out. It maybe stuck (like glued) on there and may need a few light taps with a hammer on the side to break loose.

Remove old shifter and clean off the old gasket material from the top of the rtansmission. Be careful not to let any pieces fall into the transmission. There is a teflon cup in there that goes over the ball at the end of the shifter. You reuse that.

Apply a (blue) gasket material to the new shifter and bolt down.

Replace bezel. 30 Minutes max.

The new shifter should come with longer bolts. The Tri Ax does.

Also dont forget to set the stop bilts on the new shifter.
