Dont have any experience with either of those but i have a hurst and i love how it kind of locks into place.. but sometimes going into the even gears or R is a little difficult?

There have been tons of these threads on lots of differnt forums, and I consistantly see the MGW with best reviews and can't recall a single person complaining about those shifters. I see complaints about all the rest. Not that they suck just that they are more likely to cause problems it would seem.

What makes them better than others? I think I am leaning towards the MGW it looks sweet and has a lot of good reviews for it.

Usually the construction, type of bushing/or stuff used in the base. I can tell you right now the MGW compared to the Hurst Agent Jones took out of his car, is feels AMAZING.

If you look the hurst has softer bushings that will dislodge from the base are. The MGW is like a big old heap of solid mass and lube in the base =creating firmer shifts (logically thinking of course). It's also adjustable so you can fine tune how short you want your throws. It's a very nice piece.

The Vette gets em' Wet, it also handles nice too.

shifters are shifters, if you cant shift into gear, driver mod much needed then, pending your circumstance.
