Silver Bucket's results from tonight 11/03/06
Weather and track was cold, but overall I am happy. I am ESPECIALLY HAPPY that my car lifted the driver side front wheel 10-12". Chewie was on the line when I launched and when I returned to the pits (disgusted with my 60' and ET), he was grinning and giddy saying "MAN, yo should have seen your launch, all the people on the line were like HOLY SHIT"...
Anyhoo, here are my times all N/A.. First run: 60'-1.7278 1/4-12.6189@107.55 Second run: 60'-1.7617 1/4-12.6023@109.01 Third run: 60'-1.7192 1/4-12.5790@107.58 Fourth run: 60'-1.8243 1/4-12.7469@107.04 Last run: 60'-1.8350 WHEELS UP and BOG on landing 1/4-12.7724@107.53

Friday night, my 2 step was set at 5500. I changed it to 6000 on Saturday and it helped alot. Adjustments were just tire pressure.

It would be cool to see some video. I leave over 6k in my Cobra and a friend of mine does best in his NA Mach leaving over 6500. If it is yanking the front that hard, you probably need to stiffen up the front shocks to slow the rise down. I went 4 clicks stiffer and kept the front tires down but still ran sub-1.5 60 foots.
Do you have adjustable shocks front and rear? Are you powershifting? TJ

Nice runs,
I know im a different bodystyle, but i have a 1.71 60', I have it on tape with a 12.7 run, I did'nt quite have the wheel up, maybe a 1/4 inch at most 4500 launch, alot has to do with the suspension setup, too bad My suspension kinda old . weird some cars can hook a 1.5 and not lift...some lift on 1.8's

Basically, you want to pull the front end only as high as necessary. You keep stiffening the shocks until your 60 fts slow down. My car is nose heavy, but I can still keep the tires down and hook. Once I move the battery to the trunk I am hoping to stiffen the shocks a little more, slow down the front end a little more, and pull more off the ET.... TJ

Exactly, upward motion is wasted energy if your trying to move forward as fast as you can.
I just moved my battery to the trunk, just one of those mods i been needing to do......Im ready for a tubular k-member, but should just wait and do it all at once, including a-arms ect...
