Spoiler

Im sure there is a thread somewhere, but couldnt find it. I am wanting to ditch the trunk lid, and so far i have been unsuccessful in finding a trade. My paint code is D3 (red).

If I take the wing off, I know there are going to be holes underneath. Has anyone been successful in finding rubber stoppers of some kind to fill those holes? Do they work well and keep water and gunk out and what not? Where did you get them? How much are they?

I am wanting to do it this weekend, and I am in SA, so anyone guiding me to the right spot would be greatly appreciated.

get the plastic or poly plugs at lows or home depot,
they are like $5 and they will blend for the most part.
or do this..... trade with a v6

i found the plugs I think I need. Even if they are the wrong size, they have several to choose from and they are cheap. Sux though that I dont have any metric tools.

Auto zone also sells cheap sets of metric sockets...
You only need like a 10mm or so to udo the 4 nuts that are inside the trunk.
Also a little can of duplicolor touch up spray paint will fix the color issue.
You will also need to buff and compound out the dirt lines that will be there once you remove it.

GOOD LUCK and have fun!

yeah i first used the black pushpins. But the dirt and doublesided tape sucked to take off. Used and eraser wheel, did the job. Looked crappy, but luckily found a black wingless v6, that did a straight up trade. Unless uou have a buddy that works at a bodyshop, have them fill the holes.
