I know the speakers in the doors are a serious problem as far as finding quality replacements that fit properly because the door is SO shallow inside. Not much room in there without some fabricating/cutting. I've seen a few peeps running MTX subs in there with no issues just to name one off the top of my head. There's lots of write ups online if you just do a google search on it. Best of luck, can't wait to see the finished pics. :-)

I know a few people have done the 05's on that site. ( if you go there search first otherwise they will ream you a new one) I agree with Tim, a complete rewire would be best. As for the 8, its probably not a "sub" but a midbass driver. Its probably just crossed over really low like @ 400hz down. I personally would make a wooden baffle and just run some quality 6.5's upfront. Or if you really want to spend the money get a 3 way set up. The woofer in the door, the 6.5 in some kicks and well the tweet next to the 6.5. I put my tweets in the A pillar and it really throws the imaging out of whack. I buy stuff from: sonicelectronix.com millionbuy.com woofersetc.com onlinecarstereo.com

anything realy decent will not work that well there. best to just disconect it put in a 6 inch in the door move the front plates from the front door to the rear deck for rear fill and then do your own sub enclosure in the trunk. i would be happy to let you hear my system setup just as this. jl; audio seperates in the door with tweets in a pillar and the door speakers moved to the rear for fill then a 250 x 4 on the highs and a jl 1000 on two 12w6 subs in the trunk

sounds like a nice set up dean.. except why the tweets in the a pillar? you're looking at a PERFECT set up if it wasn't for that.. that's my oppinion but JL seems to agree with me..
