Still problem with the Diablo Chip
I finally got the car to start with the chip, but the car is running rough. It spudders and black smoke comes out the tail pipes. I thought I had a bad MAF sensor, but nope I bought a new one and still same problem. I adjusted fuel pressure, still same problem. With the fuel pump, you can hear it pressurize, but the sound doesn't stop like normal when you turn the key. When I pull the chip everything runs fine. I would call the place that did my custom chip but they work the same hours as I do.

Was the chip dyno tuned to your car? You might want to verify the chip is the right one for your year model too. Last edited by highspeed; 05-24-2007 at 01:01 AM. |

mail order tunes are almost NEVER a good idea..
i have done at least 25 03 up cobras with pulley upgrades etc but i still refuse to mail order a tune to anyone. you simply just can not gaurentee how the car will respond. and with mail order tunes any weekenes int eh vechidle < bad fuel pump cloged injectors or filter > could easily kill the customers motor and the chip would instantly be blamed and by default your shop blamed. a real dyno tune is truely the only way to go for best power reliability and driveability
