    Stock Shocks are almost dead

Alright guys well I have a 2003 GT and the whole suspension is stock and the car has about 87k on it and it still has the original shocks/struts from new im shure of it.. What I was wanting to know is since I want to lower my car about 1.5inches what brand of shocks/struts would you suggest I get with the H&R Super Sports? (These springs are one of the kits I am interested in.) Also this may be a dumb question but will these springs compromise any performance from hard launches from a stop? I just dont want to spend all this money on lowering it and not have it any better than the stock setup, btw this will be my DD so if you have any suggestions for other lowering springs that arent bad to live with on a DD I would like to know...

    Thanks for the help!

Mine is a dd and eventually I am going to go with frpp b or c springs. Not as much of a drop and it doesn't compromise ride quality as much. I got long tubes and the h&r's would be brutal for me.

i have the h&r ss springs on my car and love them to death. previously had sportlines and the car feels so much smoother as a daily now. i have kyb gr2 shocks/struts. had to take the cheap route sence i bought shocks/springs/subframes all at once, but the car handles and rides great.
getting thereh&r ss springs, kyb shocks&struts, 17x9 and 17x10.5 03 cobras, bbk catted x with borla stingers, sct tune and 3.73's.

Sounds good man thanks for the info, I noticed a lot of ppl are using Tokico's Blues Shocks/Struts with H&R's but I just wanted to know if anyone uses any different shocks and struts with those springs. One more question, will I need to get the spring Isolators to go all around or only put them on the front??
I definitely need to get subframe connectors, cause whenever I pull into my driveway I can hear the car go Urck.

C springs will add close to 200lbs to the front rate, your going to notice that..

Just an FYI if you want better handling without suffering the side effects of lowering...swap to a mach 1 or bullitt set up.

My car is lowered with the Eibach pro-kit. It sits perfect IMO. The only scraping issues iv had have been from VERY poor road condition.. normal driving should have zero issues.

So Mach1 springs and the shocks and struts would be more beneficial?
Well Im open to Eibachs but Im tryin to just gather info before I spend a lot of money on parts...

If your trying to stay as close to stock height as possible but gain some performance, mach 1/bullitt suspension parts will be your cheapest bet for a performance gain. ull go from a 450lb linear spring rate to a 600lb linear rate in front. The tokico black shocks off the m1/b's are also valved a bit tighter.

iff u pick up the shocks/struts/springs and sway bars ull have a decent handling car.. but not awesome by n e means. This setup can be found for usually 200 bucks..
