The TV station set up cars with cameras under them and some parts marked. Took cars to Juffy Lube. A one they paid for a fuel filter that was not replaced. At others they were talked into a transmission fluid change which costs $99. They were told that a machine called a T-Tech sucks out the fluid. They watched and no one ever used the machine at 5 out of 9 Jiffy Lubes. They wanted to talk to a manager and the person that was the manager denied it and said he was a customer. Jiffy Lube officials won't talk to them on camera but will "look into it."

Sad thing is, that show gives shops a bad rap no matter who you are. Joe Public gets discouraged and does not want to take their vehicle to any shop for stupid asses out there. I/we at my shop have terminated people for less then that, but we were also recognized by WOAI as a 'good honest' shop. All I can say it, I do my job and what I am paid for. I always have that fear lingering in the back of my head, EVERY CAR HAS A CAMERA installed.

yeah i always think that the shop didnt do the work i asked even when i take it to the stealership..........anyone know of any shops in sa that has had the same thing happen as these jiffy lubes

just some basic maintenance ie rotation, oil change, balance, alignment maybe. About to hit 10k miles. i just always hate taking my car and wondering if its really being done just like the jiffy lube crap. ill send you a pm in a bit
