STUPID RAINSTORM!

on my way to work i had to go through the nile river... Bandera n Guilbou it popped my damn belt off!! and im pretty sure my tips went under. is there any chance water got sucked up into the engine? i dont have a CAI on yet sooooo i DK. the battery light came on but im assuming its because the belt. anyone have any ideas on whats wrong?

What id do: Replace filter, and of course the belt. you should be fine, it's unlikely your engine sucked in water from the exhaust.
The light should go off with the belt on, if not, that would tell you the alt. got wet, but i doubt it.
And always check your oil, make sure it's not milky, if it is, you'll trash the motor if not drained and replaced with fresh.

k thanks man. would just checking the dipstick be fine or would i need to drain it compleatly...

EDIT: also i dont have my CAI on yet so would i still need to change the filter if itts up top in the stock place?

I would check it to see if it got wet. My uncle told me since the car is low they suck up water pretty easily which could cause alot of damage.
