sub and amp

i know this is somewhat of a repost but im still a little confused. I have the stock radio with the cd player on my sn95 so can i or can't i put a sub to it

the sub will have its own amp, nothing will be wired to any of teh other speakers so will it ruin it or not.

I'm not sure about the Stock Mustang radio, but you will need a pre-out for the amp. They are very common on today's radios, but there are some car's that still don't have them.

The sub will work, but I'm not sure how "much" it will be able to "drive" the sub.

Yup.

Usually you want to start a sound system from front to back. Headunit(), front speakes, rear speakers, and sub system.

No I didn't, it was done WAY before I got into understanding stereo systems... was the first mod to my car, lol... Anyway, it's a pretty simple set up... just have to tap the stock amps there are a ton of walktroughs on the net... Anyone that does car stereo installation should be able to help you out too.

It drives VERY well... although if I had an aftermarket deck it would be more of a difference, but I'm happy with how it sounds now... (and I believe the power issue is because the stock system runs at like .5 volts ... where as most aftermarket ones are what 2-4 ??? Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this one)

I have an aftermarket amp and sub on my 460 but Circuit City installed the amp.. I have no issues with driving the sub.. In fact, I only have 200 watts (@ 2 ohms) running the sub (JL 10w3v2) which can handle a good deal more. Any more and I get too much vibration. I don't really want to use dynomat, etc. due to the weight..

Sub comes out at the track
