back in the day, amps were way underrated. I belive that "88w" amp was really pushing around 400w total.

Autotek, the old RF Punch series, and Orion were notorious for being extremely underrated. They really don't do that much any more.

yeah, these days, 600 watts really means 250, if even that. a few, more expensive brands still under rate their amps. when i bought my MTX amp that was rated at 200 watts, there was a slip of paper inside that said the amp had been tested, and put out 218 watts during the test. that was 18 more watts over the rating. it wasnt much more, but at least it wasnt putting ot less than 200.:2thumbup:

Oh, I also used a Pioneer Premier DSP/Parametric/Graphic EQ. All helps to have the right stuff.

i would like to get one of those capaciters. once i have an extra 150 bucks, maybe a go get one.

my old one - sold on ebay for $188. Not too bad considering I paid $550 for it 7 years ago.

i think i might check on ebay for some audio stuff. i haven't wanted to spend too much money on ebay, cuz im not sure if i trust it, but im willing to try now.:2thumbup:

Are you talking about the 1/2 and 1 farad capacitors? You don't really need those unless you are pushing 600+ true watts of power. The rule is 1 farad to 1000 watts.

im talking about 1/2 farad. right now im pushing 200 watts, but within the month i want to upgrade to about 500 or 600
