T5 conversion for 65-73: Gauging interest
Here's what I have I have : a stock 157 tooth flywheel (289,28 oz. 302,351), Hays street/strip clutch and pressure plate, starter index plate, 79-93 T5 bellhousing machined to accept early style linkage , trans crossmember ( I am 100% positive the x member will work on 65-66)
All you need is a 79-93 style T5 shorten stock driveshaft Make me a reasonable offer........ I'm thinking about $450 obo. You know what this would cost if you did brand new if you are thinking about it......... No lowballer BS please. I do know what it would cost to gather needed pieces. I sold the car so I no longer need this stuff. Last edited by 12second5.0; 03-15-2008 at 06:58 PM. |

Sounds great to me! I don't have any $$ right now or I'd hit you up on that offer. I'm concentrating on getting mine running before I dive into a manual conversion.

Is it still available. I was planning to go with the AOD to replace my C4. I still need the flex plate and cross brace, but found the AOD cheap. I may want to rethink about going with the T5 especially at that price.
