My tail light covers didnt fit perfect but they stayed for the most part(had 1 come off doing 110 down the highway. Picked it up and it only had 1 small scratch on it). My head light covers always started to come off. I had them on for a long time until 1 dick head cop had a hard on to pull me over.

sorry for the of subject but those louvers are nice....too bad it's more than i can afford.
would it look bad if i get the full tint (fogs and heads) but cut about 1 inch across the head's tint for that different look.
there not too bad if you paint them yourself

i have a 2010 gt ,and i purchased covers for my taillights and front fog lights and i get compliment after compliment. the look of the 2010 rear end grew on me , didnt like it at first but now i love my car. new black rims like the ones you have in the pic and a rear roush wing to follow. hopefully within a year i will be adding a roush stage 2 or 3 supercharger.
I was also gonna spray taillights but decided to do film just incase cops pull me over ive had my stang blacked out since may I haven't been stopped yet lol

Tinted tail lights are NOT illegal in Texas. They just have to be visible from 1000ft and brake lights visible from 300. I had a cop stop me 3 weeks ago that gave me flak for tinted tails. He asked who did the tinting and said he could barely see them from 500ft. I kindly let him know he only needs to barely see them from 300 to be legal. He left that one alone.

With the way people drive in texas would you really want someone barely being able to see your brake lights from 300 ft? It looks pimp but I don't know if I'd want these assholes around here rear ending me.

I think where the light covers may get you more than the light reduction is in that they may obstruct the required red reflector which is part of our tail light assembly. A red reflector must be plainly visible from 100-600 ft when directly in front of the low beam headlights of a vehicle. With the covers being solid plexiglass, I think it may cause them not to be visible though the glare. I dont think a thin tint film would affect it as much.
With that said, I just bought a light tint film from headlight armor for the headlights, fog lights, and front turn signals. I only went with a 50% so it shouldnt be too dark. I may do the rear side markers also, but am not going to do the brake lights. Want all the light to the rear I can have and I have the SHR honeycomb panel already. My car is red so I didnt want one long black strip across the back, and the red lights blend. I instead chose to just add the black rear tail light bezels for a subtle balance.

Post pics when you're done! Sounds like a good looking scheme!
