No shit , I guess its like the technology of face recogintion that alot of bigger cities are going to . I would imagine its got to be pretty high tech to get a reading as you are passing some one at a higher rate of speed like that .

I've got my front plate, but it's laying on a cabinet in the garage ...

I yanked the old one off when I was shoving a car with the front of my pickup ... and haven't ever put it back on ...

I am such an outlaw.

That's what I loved about being from Florida. I was stoked to have only a rear plate...

I just took the front plate off the Bullitt a few weeks ago. It's in the dash now. Haven't had any problems yet...

The rule reads something like "the leading edge of your vehicle," which the DASH or Windshield is not a leading edge ... The way it's written, it is supposed to be on the front bumper, and anywhere else (or missing) is a ticket.

Cause it needs to be affixed/mounted as the manufacturer intended. In the window or on the dash wont work.
Its the law.....

I just bought a jig from a guy who makes them in Canada. The rig attaches the plate
without touching the front bumper.

no holes in my bumper.

What about cars like the Cobra R's front bumper and 03-04cobra??! They don't have a mounting spot for the plate....unless you drill holes through your existing bumper. Certain cars are exempt from a front plate i think....cause not all manufaturers make a place on the front bumpers to mount the plate. So in this case why wouldn't the front window be OK?!! If they say it's the "law" and you have to mount it on the front can't you just throw out the argument that it depreciate the resale value of the vehicle? Wouldn't it be else to get around this by changing out front bumpers to one that dosen't have a front mounting spot?

No cars are exempt from the front LP laws. I would imagine you can argue all day about the depreciation but your still in violation. On the dash is not the "front" of the car nor is it "mounted" both of which are part of the requirement. It looks like the adapter posted by Lampoon is a pretty good compromise though.
