William

I would consider a 1k intake and selling my ls6 for 200 if my heads cam car only made 410

I havent raced in like a year and a half, but last time was a 12 .5 on my street tires. I hope a 120 hp gets you more than 2-3 tenths on me

Whoa, $200? That'd be dumb, they go for $300-350... I guess Will forgot to mention that the Corvette that dynoed before him had a much bigger cam and "only" made 417. I didn't think it was too bad, all things considered...it's a mild cam and mildly ported stock heads. What's it supposed to make, 550?

Seeing as I haven't timed the mach since I added some more parts to it I think it would be a great run. Ill pm you as soon as I get it running again. It's on the backburner though so it might be a few weeks.

Depends on what you're bringing. If it's the red fox...Yea it'd be pointless.

Just giving you guys a hard time. My car isn't anything extraordinary. I'm sure my car will do atleast a few tenths faster than 12.5. I was close to 12.5 before the swap. This is just a daily driver not a race car I'll just continue to drive it and get good gasmileage and passing power to boot

William

p.s. Let me know on the Mach but i'm outa town pretty soon (20th i'm leaving)

great, try to down play it.

First off, it went from CNC ls6 heads to stage 1 ported to "mildly ported stock heads

Second I dont give a damn what some vette with a vague combination such as "much bigger cam," put down. 410 rwhp is cam only territory.

what should a HCI lsx do? i would hope he does 430-445 with a F.A.S.T. My friends "vette with a much bigger cam" does 470s. OOooooOOOh

She's not downplaying anything. It IS a heads cam car, but MOST LS1's that are putting down serious numbers have more than CNC'd stock heads with stock valves. Regardless, if you wanna learn more about LS1's maybe go to a site to do so, this thread is about my car and the progress i've made. Go put heads/cam on your car and get close to the 300rwhp mark, i'll stick to 400+

William

p.s. MOST stock displacement LS1's have to run full boltons and similar heads to make 430+ Mine definitely isn't full bolt ons. Also 410 cam only is a big cam, mine is mild as far as LS1's go, that's why my car remains drivable and good torque where most "supra style dyno number" big cam ls1's run like turds on the street until 4k rpm. Whose vette do you know that does 470 and what's that setup? The vette she was referring to that did 417rwhp was a TSP MS3 cam, about as big as you can go without flycutting w/ stock heads.

It's a mild CNC porting, and they are stock heads...so what am I downplaying exactly? You know, for having a low-hp heads/cam/intake 5.0, you sure have a big mouth.

you are right, my car sucks.

those are not stock heads to that car. by your definition, he could get ls7 heads intake and his cam and have a stock headed car. Makes sense.

Stop sack riding. Obviously if he felt there was no truth to my comments, he would speak up more. Its you who doesnt realize what it takes to make XXX power with an lsX

You can pm me if you would like to discuss f bodies and vettes. We dont need a thread on whose car did what with what mod. you and i will go on forever.

Your setup is very similar to shawn's TA (roomates frat brother) he wound up doing about 11.8 120 with 4.10s and skinnies.

I know all about the MS3 Take what I say lightly. I am rough on everyone because i want them to make the most possible out of their setups. I am very happy with my setup. I spent 200 dollars on heads and 175 on a cam made money off of an intake swap. No excuses, fun, great daily driver.

You make me laugh. I park in the same garage as that car every night, so I would hardly call it "sack riding." In fact, I carry his balls around in my purse...maybe I should let him have them back, so he can post more!
