The Dirty HO

Well I got a few things done to the dirty HO SS. So far, it includes, ls6 (243) CNC ported and milled heads, Cometic .040 head gaskets (get me to 11.5:1 compression), TR 230/236 .598/.602 cam, LS6 intake (painted to match the car), Jet hot headers, ORY-pipe, B&B exhaust, ARP rod bolts, K&N filter, Lid, Spec 3+ clutch, B&M ripper shifter, etc.

Little more left to do, needs a little tune work, but it's ok. Next on the mod list is an under drive pulley, ported TB, new Y-pipe with an electric cutout. Maybe eventually replace my LS6 with a Fast intake, and maybe a little N20 for fun.

So far, before heads/cam/intake it made 323hp/333lb-ft at the PSI dyno day.

Today I took it to Lethal Performance and made a few more pulls. I picked up about 90hp/50lb-ft

410hp/387lb-ft

More to come.

William

Some nice #'s there. Congrat's on getting it over the 400 mark. Something that would take my car alot more work than that to get there.

Honestly I was hoping for a bit more, with everything it has, but considering I lack a few things that will help it breathe a little better and a little more tuning is needed, I think I can get where I'm wanting it before too long.

awesome numbers.
I think mine are in that ballpark.
I should have stuck with my pushrod, modulars are too expensive.

Yea, as I said I wanted higher but that will work for now, few small things are going on and then it'll be ok for now. I need to put money back for the 69 now!!!

Looking at a few more things now, to try and get the power where i'd wanted it. Underdrive pulley, y-pipe/cutout and now looking at a FAST intake and a 90mm TB

So far I was able to manage 12.86@110mph, I think i'll do a little better now with the new found power. I think with this rear I'll still be in the 12s, i'm hoping 12.0-12.2 and trap over 120.

so you will be shifting just at 6K?
that seems a little low for an LS1, no?

I shift at 6800. I dont thin the numbers are that low, people on ls1tech are saying it's about to be expected from some Stage 1 LS6 heads with higher compression. I'll consider a Fast but $1k is a bit much for an intake. However if you'd like to see what that 95 H/C car compares to my 99 we can anytime

How bout a Mach 1?

Just let me find out why it's not charging. Either dead battery or bad alternator. I wanted to go to the track wednesday, but now this happens and I don't have a change to fix it. Im sportin my bike around town til I stumble across some change to take care of it.
