Ya you can actually tell that the Kooks will flow better.

I'm hoping my 5.4 N/A build will be able to give the Silver Bucket a run when shes done.

Its actually not that much more work than a regular 2v 4.6, flexplate needs to be changed and the whole engine will be assembled by a shop (PMP?) so all I have to do is drop it in, plug it up, and take it to get tuned.

This is a really easy swap that several other people have done it just costs alot of money to get build the 5.4 to work well in a mustang as it is a truck engine stock. High torque and odd powerband.

Yes it'll be N/A, with a bottle (or two) for the track.

Woah just noticed the 13.5:1 compression what gas will you be running on this thing? That would give my 11.5:1 compression ratio on the 5.4 some serious trouble...

With flat tops for mine (which I do not have, I have a -4.5 cc) you must be either true flat tops or a slight dome.....eh???

I believe he would need a slight dome. Mine are flat tops but they give me 11.5 and thats on a bigger engine. I'm betting flat tops would only give him around 12.5:1 so I would say slightly domed, if I was at home I would just run the numbers but I don't have any of that memorized lol.

I can not wait to see this car in action. I missed it last time but if its up and running for Ennis I will be there.

Mine give me 11.6:1 on a small ass dish (in a 4.6 with a 46cc combustion chamber and stock head gaskets). That extra compression should get me at least an additional 30 hp if not more. But I can say, I have not seen a dome piston for a modular yet... guess we'll have to wait for Mitch to bust out a pic so we can see for real.

The pistons are a true flat top piston. Brian said you can set them on a table and they will not move. There is alot of head work and tweaking that is being done to build this high compression NASTY race car.
