Ok back for an another write up
Now that I have installed the C& L cold air intake and the Kooks Long Tube headers with hi-flow cats and X pipe its now time to reprogram the cars computer for to difference in air intake and exhaust volume..
Reprogramming was pretty ez to do; I got the Excalibur 2 with the set up...
Ok now let’s get to the fun!
The cars computer port is located just under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel and it is looking down at the floor (pic 23)lockate it and plug the cord in firmly .it will be kind of tight.(pic 24)
Read the instructions to learn the menu (pic24a) and (pic25)

Now press the Select button to go to the next menu (pic26) now use the down arrow to select the operation to do (pic27) when you get to the program option (custom tune) press the select button (pic 28) now use the up and down arrows to chose what tune you want to program the computer with(I chose the 91 octane tune) (pic 29) now press the select button once and the SCT will read (TURN KEY ON DO NOT START) now just turn the key one click (make sure the AC and the FAN and WINDSHELD WIPERS are off and the TURN singles are OFF) then press the select button now you will be asked if you want to enter the optional parameters? If no then press the cancel button now it will start to program the computer (32)

Now when the SCT says READY TO PROGRAM you just press the select button (33)
the SCT will display some info as its programming the computer (pic34) and (pic35) and (pic 36) while the SCT is programming the car the dash display will flash DTE ODO DATA ERROR (pic37)

when the SCT is done press the select button (pic38) then turn the key OFF (pic39) and (pic 39a) when its all done and over with the SCT will go back to the main menu (pic 39b) and you can now safely un plug the SCT from the cars computer.. Now its time to test drive ….
My next mod will be the installation of the 4:10 gears
