THEFT LIGHT
Just started going off when I got in my car yesterday. First it was blinking slow. Turned car off and restarted and no theft light. Went to work and when leaving the theft light was blinking very fast. Turned the car off and restarted and no theft light. Got home and wanted to see what happened when I dove the car with the theft light on so I restarted the car and the theft light was blinking slowly but as I gave it gas it started blinking faster. Car still ran fine just had he light blinking. Turned it off and restarted it and no more light. Anyone have this issue? I did change the computer and had the key programed at ford. It just started out of nowhere.

Thats a new one for me. I diagnose and fix a lot of Fords PATS problems at work and have never seen this. Normally once the theft light flashes fast it detects a problem and the vehicle wont start. Now I have seen where the PATS system can be flashed making it inop causing a flashing light for 10 minutes after driving. Ultimately you may want to take your car to Ford to have them check for codes in the HEC (hybrid electric cluster), thats where the PATS system is located in the Mustang.
