    Things to do in Austin or Dallas Texas

    I have been to both cities but never for vacation. Spring break is next week and im off an entire week from school and work. I had a trip booked to the Bahamas but my job said during this time of the year they couldn't afford for me to so far away in case something happens. So now Im forced to do something a closer to home so i can drive or hop on a plan and be back in a couple hours. Just looking for some fun and exciting things to do in either city. Austin in closer so thats would be my first choice however my brother lives in Addison near Dallas thats an option also.

    film version starts tomorrow til the 15th..then til the 21st you have like 200 bands

    goodluck getting a hotel ANYWHERE near downtown as everything is pretty much soldout due to all the visitors

    ok well it sounds like Dallas is in the lead lol. I just did the rodeo thing last month here in san antonio.

    i did find the hyatt regency lastnight with a riverview downtown for 300 a night sun-wednes. i booked it. but if i choose dallas ill cancel it.

    hyatt is maybe about 12 blocks from downtown 6th all the clubs and whatnot

    dont get me wrong if you come up you'll have an awesome time with the music festival and a lot of ppl will be here

    plus its a nicer city then dallas lol

    i really dont wanna do the club thing, i do that every month just driving up to 6th street and hiting up bars and clubs. i wanna experience the town not the night life, do somethings i cant do in san antonio.

    Carlos N Charlies sounds like a good time during spring break.

    There is a ton of stuff to see and do here in Austin. What kind of things are you looking to do? Next time my mom is in town we are going to check out the Duck Adventure tours.

    thanks, i was just there last year though.

    I made the decision and ill be in dallas staying in the Le meridien in the galleria.
