Today Tim and I went out to try out his new toy and to see how things are down on the river bottom. Here are a few pics I took. It looks really overgrown but there are some decnt places to shoot. Just wear your jeans and boots and you'll have a great time. :jeff:

allright, i was a little worried about attendence, but it's looking pretty good right now:jeff:

btw, for those that have been before, the second picture is a view from the hill where you have to turn hard to the right. the second to the last picture is the campsite... i didn't even recognize it because it looked so different. those weeds are as tall as i am. the good part is that all the shade keeps it cool down there.

we were able to find a few spots that we can shoot from, so i think we'll do just fine.

All of us East siders should meet up somewhere to drive over together and get one person who actually knows where to go. This will potentially save gas (for those who'd otherwise get lost) and hey

What do ya'll want me to bring? No need for the AR, so I was thinking about the M1A, maybe my 1903 springfield. I have plenty of russian 30.06 and SA .308 to shoot up. I'd bust out the Blaser sniper rifle, but unless we have at least 200 meters of open terrain, it is insulted :P Same with the 45-70.

Anyway, fingers crossed for me to be there!

Ok, where to be:

The Forum (since we take 1604 to get there and its a good central place)
specifically the big parking lot next to Cici's and Chipotle (main entrance, take a left at the stop sign it'll be on your left from there) its the old Forum meeting place for those who were around back then.

TIME leaving at 11:20
We want to be there at noon so we should leave around 11:20 at the latest.

If anybody has a better plan by all means speak up.

ALSO can anybody give me a ride?? Stang's not fixed yet...

Bring it out. I can get you 200 meters of open terrain just so I can see what you can do at that distance.
