Yep. Pretty much.

It's interesting to see that 98% of the people in here post about what they might do in a road rage situation if they were the "victim". All of their replies are basically that they'd say "F-you!" to the person being the jerk, and they'd do something to defend themselves or retaliate. (brake checking, slowing down, speeding up, etc.)

..but then there's the other 2% who come off as being the perfect law-abiding citizens who will only yield and get out of the way as safely as possible whenever some jack ass gets on their butt, and then procede to make everyone else who doesn't do as they do, feel like the scum of the Earth, and talk down to them as if they were highly disappointed parents.

If you're going to cite statutes, I wonder if this would apply. Road rage goes both ways, brake checking another driver is far from being responsible behavior.

While we're at it, if you are cruising in the passing lane, you are not acting in a lawful manner either.

Chips, I was taught, in drivers ed, that if someone is driving too close behind you and you can't get over to let him pass, to take your foot off the accelerator and just lightly tap your brakes. If he then hits you, he's at fault because he didn't leave enough room between you two to be able to stop. I don't know if they still teach that in drivers ed now though. It was like 16 years ago or so that I took that class!! LOL!! I just don't think that bigred90gt meant that he slams on his breaks. Just show them that your brake lights are on to slow them back a little.
It pisses me off if someone flashes me to get over too, the road is not yours. Unless I'm going RIDICULOUSLY slow, not moving over and just being an idiot. Just my .02

I was driving down 1604 a few weeks back and my exit was approaching so i proceeded to move to the right and out of no where this phuckin douche nozzle on a bike zips down the shoulder (right at the off ramp) to pass cars(he wasnt getting off at the exit either , just chose that place to pass ) so since i was only a foot or two from hitting him I had to swerve back into traffic to miss hitting him and in doing so the big ass dumptruck that i had to cut in front of almost slammed me .So this being said i have no patience for these dumb as a football bat bike riders passing on the inside or outside shoulder.

Does anyone ever look at the amount of shit on the shoulder . What if that guy passed him on the shoulder and hit something at a high rate of speed and made him lose control right in front of him and the driver of the mustang Hit him????? Nudging him back into the lane may have saved that fuck nutz life .........................

That is exactly what I was taught. I wont say that I have never slammed on the brakes, but I don't make a habit of it. I have downshifted all the way down to 2nd gear on the highway, and instead of going around, the idiot actually stayed behind me on my bumper. It was about 4:30 am, and we were the only 2 cars I could see. I was driving about 75, and he flew up on my bumper to within about 6 feet. So, I tapped the brakes a few times, and when he didnt get the point, I started downshifting and riding the gears down. When I got to about 25, he finally tried to go around. Of course, I was in the mustang, so I just sped back up to 75. He eventually caught up and passed me, and went on his merry way.

When I drive on the highway, I set my cruise control, and typically drive in the middle lane. When I begin approaching a person driving slower, I get over to the left and go around them. If the person in front of them (regardless of how far they are in front) is driving slower than I am, I stay in the left lane to avoid getting stuck behind them. In houston, it could mean 15 minutes before you can get back over due to the amount of people on the freeway. I refuse to drive 60 in a 65 just so someone who wants to drive 90 can get by me. Being that I am already driving faster than the speed limit (usually set my cruise control between 70 and 75), I'm not going to speed up any more. Once I get past enough people and either find someone going the same speed, or have a big enough opening, I'll get back over. But, if you are on my ass in between, you'll get brake checked.

well it seems as though I'm always in the left because I'm always passing. I'm on the highway for MANY hours throughout the week and I'm all over town. My preference is really the middle lane if I must be honest. I have only received 4 speeding tickets in my life. 1 when I was 18 trying to get some tail across town, 1 when I was 19 doing 40 in a 35 and the officer was VERY clever in his hiding spot, once in Windcrest (no explanation necessary) and the last when I was on my bike on Wurzbach Pkwy doing 90 like a douchebag. I saw the cop though and he only got me for 75 in a 60.

I try to keep it within 10mph over the limit.try
