throttle body for an '86

can any of you guys ansewer a question for me? i"ve got an 86 that still has the speed density setup on it. this car has e-7 heads on it right now. my question is i have a gt 40 intake that i want put on this car and some one that i can buy a 70mm throttle body off of for real cheap. will this setup work and run alright until i switch it over to mass air setup. i also have aset of 24 injectors to go along with it. :fruit2:

Yes it will work. The 24# injectors might be a little much if you dont have a set of decent heads. There really is no need to switch over to MA until you change the cam, even then there are a few cams that work well with SD.

I still run SD and have talked to a lot of people that have good results with it.

i forgot to say that i do have b303 to go along with it. i've just heard nothing but bad stuff about sd. i had nothing but maf on all my other mustangs,this is the first car i've had with sd. so any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

If you want an good everyday strret cat that you can mod the hell out of then go mass air.You can get away with quite a few tricks as Hoss has stated with SD but for anything radical you will need a chip to get the most benefit from it.

that is pretty much what i am looking to do for right now until get done with the 331 that is half built for about the last year.

Any of the alphabet cams will not work with SD. Crower and Comp both make good cams for SD.
