Materials needed to do the job:
VHT nightshades spray paint
Clear paint can from hardware/auto parts store
Masking tape
Newspaper
1000 grit sandpaper
10mm deep socket & ratchet
1. Remove headlights, taillights, 3rd brakelight and whatever else you want tinted.
2. Get 1000 grit or finer sandpaper and lightly wet sand what you want painted. Enough to clean off dirt, bug's, wax, oil's and scratch the factory clear so the tint can stick. DO NOT push down as it will go deep and scratch the light and you don't want that.
3. After the lights have dried, get a cotton towel/rag and some denatured alcohol and wipe off the dirt and water.
4. Mask off the plastic around the rear taillights so you don't get overspray on them. Otherwise it doesn't look as nice.
5. Spray two to three coats of the tint over the lights. Spray one coat then do the second and third coats like 5 minutes apart.
Let the tint dry for about 6 hours or overnight so you don't run into any problems with the tint still being wet.
6. Wet sand once more with 1000 grit or finer sandpaper. Don't push the sandpaper just let it slide back and forth on it.
7. You can spray as many coats of clear as you want. I just did three to protect the tint from getting any scratches. Apply just like the tint, in 5 minute intervals.
8. Let dry for about 3 hours and reinstall back onto your car.
If you want the side reflectors done you have to either remove them, it looked like I would have to loosen the bumper, which was something I didn't want to do. I masked around them and did the job with them still on the car. I put about 4-5 coats since I didn't car about being able to see the red in them.
