tires rubbing?

alright my tires are rubbing in the rear. they are rubbing on a strut that goes almost horizontal from axle to the frame. im guessing this is some sort of stock traction bar? i was told by one of my friends to just take it off all together. my issue is if i take it off am i going to get wheel hop? also if it is something that people commonly take off what do you replace it with ie. aftermarket lower control arms, trac bar ect...? i only have 225/50/16's on it and i wanna go bigger.

sounds like your wheel offset is horribly wrong if you're rubbing 225/50r16s...

You have three choices:
1. Put a stock set of wheels or right offest on it. Best bet.
2. Flip the quad shock, might fix and might not.
3. Take quad shock off but you will get some wheel hop.
