to the guys with air tools.

I recently cleaned out my garrage and found a brand new set of air tools, so i'm gonna get an air compressor. How big of an air compressor do i need for my garrage? This will make changin tires a lot easier.

I think a 20-40 gallon would be good enough.

it'll need to be a decent size if you plan to do anything other than changing tires. i have a decent size compressor/tank, (not sure the specs) and it's still not good for anything other than little bs stuff... it wont even fully run my 1/2 inch matco impact.

Damn i think thats a lil to much for me! All i really do is is small work around changing wheels, brakes or pull a tranny. I dont do any die grindin or what not. Im guessin 40-60 would suit me.

If your compressor is constantly running while you are using your air tools it is not sufficient.
