    Track day

Are there any road courses in the San Antonio/Austin area? I've been itching to do an open track day, but haven't found anything in the area.

Judging from the lack of public road courses (they all seem to be private, country-clubs), auto-x may be all the corner carving that I'll see for awhile. Eagles Canyon is a bit far, but it looks like they do HPDE's.

Drivers Edge runs Harris Hill occationally. I'd jog over to Texas World Speedway, it's only a couple hours away and I feel it's the best road course in TX. Lots of track days too.

My suggestion, come out and work on corner for an event. You'll learn alot and if you opt for "work/drive" credit you can save $300 and drive for free the next event! That's how I got started.
