Whoa, you mean they let riders along during a run. I've never been to a track that allowed that. Pretty cool. I start working day shift next week, so I will be more able to attend. However, the stang is out of commission until late Aug/early Sep. But, I would like to take the Mark for a few runs to see how it does.

not to make promises here but i'll keep an eye out for the fridays that ya'll want to have the togetherness at the strip and i'll see about trailoring my stang down there. gas prices + 11 mpg = short trips only lol. well i'm going to make a long trip this weekend down to beaumont with it (6-hrs) so i'll know more about what the highway mpg is going to be. i've been racing for about a season now in someone else's car but i will be racing my car now and i know its going to be a whole new ball game, and, i can always use some good advice. i dont turn down advice. thats one thing everyone can use. i would also like to aquire some more stuff for the car first as well. those things are listed in the (Lookin for....) thread in the classifieds.

Wednesdays and Fridays for Test and Tune
run 87 octane gas if you don't have your ignition timing advanced
have about 1/4 tank of gas when you get there
drag radials you can run pretty low 12-17 psi
street radials 22-25 psi
44 psi in the front tires

And Drag slicks or e.t streets about 8-10 psi

Keep in mind, all cars with slicks MUST have a driveshaft loop, no matter how slow they are. I got away without one for a while, but then one night they looked for one, and told me to get one, but they still let me run that last time. cuz some of those guys are nice there, and use their judgment.
