Traction Lock Rebuild

I'm starting to get a one tire fire every now and then. So I think it is time to re-build my stock t-lock. What are my options and I have heard it is really easy? Give me some input. Thanks

Either I can rebuild the one that is in there now or find another posi for cheap and rebuild it and swap them out. Does anyone have any idea how much a bad posi will hurt me at the track?

im sure it varies each time, since it would be hard to estimate how much power is being distributed to each wheel, if any at all.

Yeah, thats about the price I have seen everywhere. I also want to get the F-150 S-spring and there are different ways of alternating the clutches and steels to optimize the amount of tourque that can be applied to the rear wheels.

It is real easy to do. I have done a couple. Dont forget the additive when you fill the case. And if you are using slicks at the track and you hook with a bad t-lok you can lose control and eat the wall!

George, In what order did you stack the clutches and steels and did you use any extra?

It comes with instructions on how to stack them and yes I packed it a little thicker. Use a mic if you can to see how thick you can go, it will tell you how thick it should be and I think I went with one extra clutch. But when you go a little thicker it gets to be a bitch to put back together.(a little tight)

Sounds good, I forgot about soaking the discs. But that is how I did it. and It hasnt come apart yet and that is after numerous 4000 rpm launches.
