You will need to change the bellhousing as well since Tremec / Ford never offered a T5Z for the 94-95 cars . I'd take $900 for it + your transmission . I'd swap you a Fox body bellhousing straight across for yours and you'd have to buy a fox body clutch fork for the fox body bellhousing .

I'm not bullshitting you about this unit being like brand new . If you are serious , PM me and we can go from there .

yes they never offered a 2.95 ratio trans for the SN95 cars regardless of being a Cobra or not . All you have to do is swap the bellhousing and clutch fork and the fox body lenght T5Z will go right in . I just sold one the other day to a customer on this board and Lethal did the installation for him . He had a 95 Cobra .

actually it was a 94 steeda, my old one haha. i went with him to lethal(5 hours from denton) to have it put in. everything went great. he really likes the 2.95 ratio too from what hes told me thus far.

What is the difference in the T5z as compared to a borg warner t-5 or the stock fox body T5. OR am I confused. I just destroyed my transmission this past saturday. I want something with some nuts. I have a 347 stroker thats all motor right now and the freshly rebuilt T5 lasted 5 street passed on the slicks. What a disappointment. Hey source do you have anything that will hold up to 500hp/500tq? Thanks

The T5Z is basically a 1993 Cobra transmission with GM V8 Camaro WC internals and uses a special input shaft to make fit a Ford clutch . Its stronger than your basic Mustang T5 and has a totally different gear ratio better suited for higher powered cars . I've seen them hold up to as much as 500 hp but I've also seen them break with less than 350 . As for building a T5 to hold 500-550 hp , I would suggest the Astro Performance A5 gear kit . The problem is , they are on national back order and will be for some time .
