Transmission

Ok does anybody know if a 6-speed cobra transmission will bolt on to a gt engine? I would think so because it is generally the same engine, same size anyways except for the DOHC, but Im not sure. I also need to know what else I would have to buy if anything, and where I could get one at I couldn't find one on ebay? Thanks

Try D&D motorsports, they should have everything you need.

Could try for a used one from a salvage yard. Call Acme Auto Parts on Somerset Road in San Antonio, if they dont have one they can usually locate it and have it brought in. Talk to Frank or Steve.

it will bolt up just fine.

i think you need to modify the crossmember and use a different driveshaft. I think it needs to be shorter. need a new shifter of course.

I think the clutch will work, but i'm not sure. If you have to use the cobra clutch you will also need an 11" flywheel.
