Tuning for JLT
I have the Sniper special forces and am getting a JLT cai.
was looking in the MAF list and I do not see the JLT listed. So I was wondering if anyone knew what I would be needing to change to make the JLT work. what kind of changes does the diablo tune do? maybe I can do the same. |

um yes he does .. the 05 ups the mass air is part of the intake tubing not a seperate unit.
so any time you change that tubes diameter you must remap the mass air curve.

But he doesnt have the stock mas air. He has the JLT. it increases the size. Thats why it REQUIRES a tune unlike previous models

no he has the same mass air .. its just in a larger tube
larger tube means slower air velocity at a given cfm of intake and there for lower mass air voltage ![]()

I would be using the original mass air METER, but in a larger HOUSING.
The Sniper does not list the JLT housing as one of its options. The Sniper does list the C&L housing as one of its options. So with the larger housing I would get a lower voltage reading and get a real lean air/fuel, right? What else would be different? Could I use the C&L selection (it is an 83 or 85 mm housing, not sure), the JLT is an 89mm housing, so it is closer. Then richen my air/fuel to compensate for the lower reading the maf is reading? |
