Turbo Or Nos????

when i get my management position in the deli im gonna do one of the two..i can afford nos now... but it would probably be better to be patient and wait to get the turbo kit... what do yall think i should do??? im thinkin i should wait and turbo it ....ill probably do bigger gears either way...probably 3:73 or 4:10...whatever input yall have id appreciate it.... i have a five speed 00 v6 ....i plan on keeping it and have been really pleased with its response to bolt on so far....the 98 and below v6 just dont respond as well..

thanks
T.J.

from what i've read on the boards since your a stick i'd get 3.73's and SAVE for the turbo or supercharger. or did you only want a turbo? oh yeah dont forget to add about 1000 bucks onto the turbo price for install and chip burn. good luck with whatever you do.plus a copwont ticket you for having working turbo in your car wheras he can and most likely will ticket you if your hooked up.

good point tim definately get a t-loc....but 4:10 might be a bit much for a daily driver,,..and its a six....i like the idea of nos cus u can choose when u want to kick it up a notch... but at the same time you can turn it off...where as a turbo or super charger is always on and it kindof kills gas mileage.... plus the nos is extremely cheaper....i guess the next question i should ask is what would be better for performance??? sure a turbo is great and worth the money... but can nos give me close to the same results....and where is a good place to get the gears installed?????thanks again for all your help..

actually from talking to mike at murillo motorsports a NOS system will give you more HP but I would reccomend getting a new intake to handle the + stress of NOS. and you need to get it tuned for your car.

This is my opinion. Of all the kits out there....And, I did ALOT of research before I got mine, I would go with Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS), dry kit and I think a 75 shot would be awesome for your car. I think NOS's R&D is the best and their technical support is top notch.

Like I said this is just my .02. But, I have seen, heard of and got alot of crap from people saying how Nitrous Express (NX) and ZEX were much better kits and that I was going to blow my motor in my car. Well, I have had mine in for over 2 years and probably run 20 bottles through the motor with a stock intake and a 150 dry shot and the car runs just as well as the first day I got it. I also have not had a SINGLE problem with the motor, car or kit other than spinning the tires through third gear at the track.

The MAJORITY of the crap talkers have blown their motors or taken their NX and ZEX kits off their cars due to problems.

Come to detail day and I'll take you for a spin, just wear a diaper....LOL

so if i just got the nos kit with just a 75 shot i probably wouldnt have to change my intake...sounds like a good idea and i think it will be insane!!! USA motorsports said they could have the whole kit installed for about, 800...but i could probably get it done alot cheaper somewhere else... what do you think about gears? where would be a good place to get them installed andhow much am i lookin at... i heard the labor is a pain!

ok i'm in agreeance for the NOS kit but make sure you shop around for it.and i'd take the car to murillo motorsports to get the tuning done.they say the average cost to burn a chip for a NOS car is 700 bucks. http://www.murillomotorsports.com/dyno.html and then the install cost is $65 an hour

I would do 4.10's with a t-lok on a V6. And as far as Murillo's....There is NO ONE better. Mike, Toni and the whole crew are professional, funny and awesome. I would go no where else. They could do your gears as well. Also remember, you get what you pay for. Shop around for a shifter knob or cold air kit, but not for that major of an install. Believe me I speak from experience.
