cant go over 425 with your stock 2v. i'd go with a cobra/mach 1 4v swap. they both have high hp capabilities.

if 425 sounds like enough for you, i'd look into roush chargers. mine made 360rwhp with only exhaust and the stock 6psi.

if you don't do a cobra engine swap, ya gotta hit internals on the GT engine. small RPM ownz you. cobras redline at 6850; GTs at 5250

i'd say just pull a 03 cobra drivetrain from a wrecked cobra, but keep you solid axle unless you are gonna be auto-xing

you will spend a easy 3000 to 3500 on labor doing the complete cobra swap for installing the motor the harnes cooler pumps etc everything else and doing it right.

then you still need to buy the cobra motor and you need to add the parts to make it fast ie blower etc if a na four valve or pulleys headers etc for a 03 cobra motor.

03 cobra motors are expensive also along the lines of a good 6 k for a motor and trany together.

or you could build a 2 valve with a good crank rods and pistons port the heads add cams and a super charger and you got 550 + at the wheels all day and never have to worry about the problems conversions can cause with wireing etc.

don;t forget about the 03 cobra motors 150 pounds of extra weight also so the car would be slower then a two valve making comparable power.

either way would probly be close money wise for a na 4 valve swap then adding a blower vs a built to the hilt two valve and blower the 03 cobra swap would cost more then either of those options

but with the built two valve you got a brand new engine not a unknown condition used motor and trany and on top of that you got a motor wich can take far more power then the stock cobra short block can handle unles you go 03 cobra motor

Last I checked new 03 Cobra motors are 14K.......kinda kills the buzz. I haven't seen used 03 Cobra engines floating around every day either.

350....supercharge it and call it a day.
