    Thumbs down USPS sux!

I hate dealing with the post office, whether it is shipping or just going to the counter to buy freaking stamps. I was at the local office the other day and there was at least 15 people in line and two tellers (5 registers though), and NEITHER one of them seemed to be in a freaking hurry. When I got to McDonalds at lunch time and they are busy as crap--man those underpaid people are MOVING to service their customers. Then step into the post office and it is like a library, and they make good money, have good benefits, and great retirement, not to mention all of the holidays they get off with pay!

I have had items lost by them, yes, I got the "regional manager" involved--to no avail. Luckily, the shipper (Aviator scrubs in Cali-the only place that I can find masculine scrubs that last) was nice enough to reship them. USPS tracking showed them leaving Atlanta in rout to the office here, and POOF they were gone.

The last thing was a otter case that I bought off of Evilbay, guy is in Washington state, has a great rating, been a e-bayer for over 10 years, and has a sizeable e-bay store. I paid for it on 3-3, it was shipped on 3-4, USPS freaking FINALLY updated their on line tracking (what a POS that is) and I MAY get it on 3-12. WTF?!! It takes 7 damn days for a package to go from one end of the US to the other?

I e-mailed the guy and told him that he did what he was supposed to do and I appreciated that but in the future he may want to give the option to use another carrier. I would have gladly paid extra to have the package in 3-4 days.

I will NEVER use the United States postal service to ship ANYTHING again, nor will I buy from someone who only ships USPS.

USPS is a damn good example of how a government run agency runs. Just imagine how its going to be when the government runs health care?????

Hell the people at my local post office are lazy as hell too. I print all my labels online with tracking numbers. Unless the post office system shows that the package was dropped off, they won't look for a damn thing if it comes up missing. I asked them to scan my packages as I drop them off so it shows in their system it was dropped off. They told me they didn't have to scan it unless they felt like it. I asked what the hell am I suppose to do when it gets lost in the mail? They actually looked at me like I was crazy to think things actually get lost in the mail.

The post office is by far the worst at customer service compared to Fedex and UPS.

I would like to say sorry on behalf for the USPS the company that I work for.
I know there is some shity people working here but I give it a 120% everyday 6 days a week. I walk 9 1/2 miles a day (snow, sleet, rain, cold, texas heat, dogs.) The old people there @ the post office need to retire and hang it up. That's where y'all get all the shity service. They think that the goverment and USPS owes them something. Again sorry I forward this page to my boss I hope to get you help (the source), and other thing when I go home I fell I like I earned all $21.31 hour. The last thing is that there is a lot of variables in the equation when a package or letter etc get lost anything from the person having a shity day to not paying attention etc but it can even be the sender fault not shiping it off in time or even putting the one wrong number but we always get listed as the escape goat.

My preference, based on my experiences:
    1. FedEx - tracking is right-on. deliveries on-time.
    2. USPS - not the best, but consistent. tracking sucks. postal lines suck, but I like it when the express door is open - walk right up
    3. UPS - suck. deliveries rarely on-time. continual reroute issues (seen shipments come from other states arrive in SA, leave to another city or state, then come back to sa to sit for a few days, then get delivered).
