it's not hard to do.

I actually helped the owner of this car install his BOSS decals:

I work during the week, and I will be pretty busy this weekend. I might have time next weekend, if you'd like some help. You could bring it over here to my house, and we could install them no problem. I have all the tools needed.

It isn't too hard. Just use a soap and water mixture in a bottle to get them where you want them and then squeegee them down. The most important thing to know is that you just have to TAKE YOUR TIME. It is definetely not something you can rush. I have done my car (back when it had stripes), my husbands t/a, and a friend of mines car. Here are some pics of all the cars I have done. Mine had stripes from the front all the way to the back including both bumpers (now THAT was a PITA). My hubby's car had them from the front of the hood to the rear trunk and spoiler and at one point had the ones going down the sides (THOSE were very time consuming), my friends car only had little ones on the hood.

make sure you have a SHARP razor for cutting them if it is too dull all it will do is pull on the vinyl and leave it misshapend. I had that happen to me when I first tried to cut the stripes on MY car. Luckily I had plenty of vinyl left to fix it. Also, the soap and water in a bottle is what helped me be able to get them centered. I started with the hood and used the rear view mirror to help me center them where I wanted them. On my husbands car I used the middle of the t-tops. Just find a center point on your car and work from that. The soap and water mixture will allow you to move/slide the stripes around a bit until you get them where you want them. You just have to keep it wet other wise they will try to stick. Once you have them where you want them very carefully squeegee them down. Once you squeegee them just allow them to dry for a while before driving down the high way with them.

I got them to lay where I wanted thm then I squeegeed them down until I got to the point where I wanted to cut. That way it helps it so that the stripes don't move as much when you are cutting them. The last thing you want to do is make your cut and look down to realize that the stripe slid up and now your stripe is too short. I just slowly cut away what didn't need to be there and then wrapped it under the hood a little and finished squeegeeing it down. You just have to take your time and cut slowly so you don't stretch the vinyl, otherwise it will get wavy looking at the end and wont lay down correctly. It really is easier than it sounds. And trust me the first time I did it I probably spent around 4-5 hours doing my car because I was so scared of messing up. I started with the hood, then did the roof, then the trunk. I left the bumpers and the spoiler to do last because those were the hardest parts to do and involved the most cutting.

alright thanks for the info.

i would still rather have someone experienced help me but if thats not possible then its alright.

i just have some weird cutting to do on the hood. like the white mustang above that you posted where you put the vinyl on the raised edges of the middle scoop and everything... well my hood is the opposite (heat extracting) but i still have those lines and i DONT want vinyl on them (the raised/slanted parts.. whatever you want to call them) so thats really what im worried about. do you get what im saying?

I think so! lol I totally understand about wanting the help. I have never had to make those cuts before so it would be new to me as well. My cuts where pretty much straight across except for when I did the stripes on the bumpers. All I can say is if you end up doing it yourself just take your time and go slow. If you need to leave the stripes wet and don't squeegee them down. Just make sure you watch and don't allow them to move. while you are making the cut. You can also try and just lay them down dry (as in before you take teh paper off. I have never done it that way because I couldn't really see what I was doing when I tried it that way. It is always easier to cut the vinyl if it is dry rather than wet. HOpefully someone in SA can help you out!

Exactly! Make sure it is clean so you don't end up with bumps under the stripes.
