Volunteer oppurtinites in SA?

The teacher in my management course is encouraging us to do some volunteer work. We got a sheet of some local organizations that use volunteers but it all seems like the same stuff. Animal shelters, foodbanks, helping elderly, answering phones etc. Alot of these places require you to register which implies they already get alot of volunteers.

I would like to do something different. So where many of you guys work do you take volunteers? Are you guys part of any organizations that receive volunteers? Have any of you volunteered somewhere and what did you do?

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Dreaming of: EFI and Supercharger(turbo would work too) My daily driver and work truck '99 F250 PSD, ext cab, long bed, Bully Dog, AFE stage II CAI, guages, Exhaust coming soon along with tranny goodies.
