Welcome to the new server

If you can see this post you are on the new server. Sorry it took so long to get everything ironed out but we should be good to go now. Let us know if you have any problems.

No, not so much that.

For the past several years, we have been hosted on a dedicated server that belongs to a personal friend of Brent. And that has been very instrumental in the growth of LSS to what it has become today, because being hosted on a dedicated server generally costs a pretty penny. But Brent was able to take care of us at a very discounted price.

With as much traffic as LSS gets nowadays, I honestly could not afford to pay the regular going rate for as much bandwidth as this site consumes. So if it weren't for Brent, we would have had to do something different (i.e. charge our Sponsors more for advertising, which may have not worked).

Well at the beginning of the year Brent let me know that his friend was looking to remove the server we were on, so we were both going to need to find a new home for our websites (Brent owns Ford Mustang | Mustang Forums for Ford Mustang Enthusiasts btw). And as luck would have it, I just started a new job with Rackspace who just so happens to be a major hosting company headquartered right here in San Antonio.

So I get a pretty good employee discount on hosting, which has enabled us to continue on with the website as is, without making any drastic changes to be able to afford paying the bills.

Long story short.... we all owe Brent some thanks for carrying LSS along this far and enabling it to become as big as it has today!

I've been working on that. I got the burger to pop up, but el queso está viejo y pútrido. ¿Dónde está el bano?

We've had a chat box in the past a few times. The thing that sucks about the chat box is they are third party scripts that I have to integrate into the code of our forum. And whenever vbulletin releases a security patch or some other type of update, it usually screws up the chat box script and then I have to go in and figure out how to make it work again.

And that can happen once every month or two. Just gets to be annoying.

But I haven't looked into a chat box script in a while, who knows maybe they've coded one correctly now.

Yes, but refer to the REVOLUCION comment.

It disappeared from this site some how...
If I can find good software to use, I will start another one up, it was fun. Just that people would go in, start shit with each other, then it would carry over to the forum. HA. PREFIERO MORIR EN MIS PIES, QUE VIVIR EN MIS RODILLAS! We shall rise again!
