I've got the same question, but another one to add.

I've heard that the carpet possibly needs to be removed from above the welding areas, to keep from scorching/singeing the carpet.

all you need to do is put a welding blanket over the section that is going to be welded and that takes care of the burn spots

from what i understand, that is only needed if you get SFCs that have the added seat support.

I'd be down as well for some MM full-lenghts if a vendor wants to hook us up.

When i had my SFC welded in the carpet wasn't touched at all. I had no burns. They had the seat support but usually those are just bolted on by two of the sseat rail bolts.

ok...i'm visiting this again.

I want to get the MM Full Length SFC's.

Problem being the instructions clearly state the car needs to be sitting on the tires to install these. Now the big question, who can do this????

I had the MM full lengths installed by Murillo Motorsports on my '04. They wanted a bit more $ than others quoted me, but they were the only ones who knew EXACTLY what I was talking about and didn't need to "see what was going on" first.

They did a GREAT job and even painted the welds and the connectors to prevent rust.

Nighthawk saw them on my ride when he did my shocks/struts install. He can vouch for how good they were done.
