It will take less money to get more power out of a v6 than a GT, i have proved it before over on mustangforums, go look if you care.

Just had to get all that off my chest.
you put the same mods on each the v8 wins. of course with boost a v6 will be faster than a na v8. but with same boost, v8 wins everytime. thanx for pointing out obvious stuff though.

i hate to be the voice of reason, Lord knows i don't even listen to my own reason at times, but this is a rather stupid argument. a V8 was made to have more power than a V6. period. if you look at the specs of a stock 6 and a stock 8, the 8 has more hp, more torque, larger displacement, etc... you can mod the hell out of a 6 and beat the doors off of a unmodded 8, but mod them the same and it doesn't matter. now don't get me wrong, i drive a 6. i am modding my 6. do i have any delusions that i can beat an 8? one day, maybe a stock one. but how many people do you know that don't mod their mustang? i enjoy driving my 6 as do most of the people that drive their's. i understand that the 6 is considered the "little brother" to the 8, but just like picking a fight with your big brother got your ass kicked then, trying to win an argument about making a 6 faster than an 8 will get you the same results. i am content in the fact that my car will never be an 8. if i wanted it to be an 8, i would've bought one. so it seems to me, simply, stock 8 > stock 6 power wise. any other argument is pointless. do what makes you happy with your car. don't give two shits what someone else thinks.

Thats why you round up a group of guys off your local forum / from your local car club. Grab a few cases of *insert alcoholic beverage here* find a spot with tools and get at it.

Because their is a group of people with too much money who like to drop vehicles off and say "here get this done, this is my visa, have fun"....

I mean I like working on my car too but if I had the money to just drop it off and pick it up I'd be lazy like that :P
