well it finally happened

They say when you ride a bike its not if your gonna fall, its when...
I took a nasty spill yesterday rolling back from a ride...of all things right when I entered my driveway...what a putz I am...anyway landed on my left side and had 300 lbs of bike on my leg, had my neighbor not been home I would not have been able to get back up. I felt ok last night, however this morning I feel like I was hit by a truck. I am so sore, it hurts to breathe.
Anyway I am gonna go to the Dr. this morning to see if I havent done something to myself.

i hate to sound like a mom but "always wear jeans or leather and a helmet!" in case you don't. what kind of bike is it? mine had extensions on the side that kept the bike off the ground enough for my leg to stay in the normal sitting position throughout the whole lay-down. in fact i did it in SA right before i met you.

get well soon. now have your beautiful wife speed your recovery. :mick:

Glad to hear the pipes didn't burn a hole through your leg while you were stuck under it....I agree on the metal motor guards you can have welded in...keeps you from getting pinned under it and can really help with repairs as it keeps the bike from really dragging. Hope everything is okay at thr Dr.!

Glad to hear everything's fine. It always happens where you think you're safest. Don't feel too much like a putz. I backed my mom's station wagon out of the garage one time, but forgot to open the door first.

When you lay a bike down and can then post about it, it's a good thing. :mick:
Glad you're ok John!

Bucho,

You trying to get some battle scars to show off at WSW????

Glad you're doing well.

Be safe dammit! We don't have many WSW folks, so we can't afford to lose any! :redrum:
