Staying!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Tisdales to get plates. I expected about $40-$50 but no they wanted like $300 something. New resident fee was $180 of it I think and some other fees. New resident my a$$. All the other states we have been stationed in waive all the fees and crap but the old lady told me Texas doesnt waive anything. So I told them keep thier dam plates and I stick with my FL plates

As some of you know we HATE it here in Texas, so Its not really a big deal cuz we are trying to get orders out of here ASAP. We justy got here so we aint going anywhere soon though:gil:

if it wasn't for my girlfriend and LSS, i might not have stayed here

Sorry you are not enjoying Texas. I moved here from Oregon, so I love it here. But I'm with ya on the plates thing. Both my cars still have the Oregon plates. So much cheaper for tags and no inspection. I'm sure I'll have to break down and change sometime, but I'm milking for all I can.

Dan, I thought military didnt have to re register? Why do you hate it here in TX. I have been here since 1976 moved from VT. I would go back for nada. But hey I hear ya on the plates thing they keep jacking it up. Watch out though state law is 30 days for permenant residents. I think the fine is pretty hefty as well.

But ya gotta love the lights and spoiler. Just think if ya hadnt come here you wouldnt a picked up a freebe.lol.

I spoke to a few cops and they all said the law states that Military Active Duty, Spouse and dependents do not have to have to register in Texas, so I am not going to

I dont like texas cause of lots of reasons, Myself and the wife are very unhappy here. If it wasnt for you and the rest of the crew I have metn this board, all of who I consider friends, I would go nuts and probably leave.

Hang in there Dan. I kinda thought it sucked when I first got here but it sorta grows on ya after awhile. Just think the military could of sent ya to alaska or bum fuck eygpt so it could be worse.:jeff:

Dan I know the feeling man. I miss Florida also if it wasn't for the raise my company gave me to move here I would have stayed in Miami. But I guess we have to make the best with what we got and keep finding cool friends to help us thru the change.

I have lived here pretty much all my life with the exception of when I was in the Air Force.I wouldn't want to live anywhere else unless it was money motivated.:jeff:

Miami been there once I would rather be in texas I felt like I was in Cuba.lol
