went by northside today

the over speed reading is starting to piss me off and the fact that in the past day i have put 300 miles on the car (thats a lie more like 100 150 max) so i went by northside ford today and talk to the parts guy. he said they stopped making 4.10 speedo gears for the automatic and they also stopped making the 3.73 ones too. but he did for some reason have the one step above 4.10 i think it was something like 4.20 or something like that. anyways im waiting for the car to cool down to start. any one done this b4. is it tough.

well i put it in its still reading way high but not as high. and for kick i floored to find out what my top speed is. SOB its only like 75mph jeeze. ive got to get my programer.

That's crazy...When I switched to 4.10's it was only like a 10 mph difference on mine....hmmmm....def would suck to deal with what you got going on....good luck getting it resolved!

so it seems to be better floor it...75, where as b4 you did 60mph and it read 112? seems better...other than not nowing how fast you are going....jsut keep with traffic

I wouldn't even mess with new gears. If you can program it, do it. Over and done. :jeff:

no no no, my new real top speed is like 75. b4 the new speedo gear it was like reading 118 when i was going 75 now it reads round 98 when i am going 75.
