Went to the track...hate my life LOL!

Well i went to the track last night and given i'm on street yoko tires. but here's pretty much how i ran all night.
60 ft: 2.3
1/4: 14.0
1/4 mph: 104
Now i know i gotta get my 60 ft times down right? So is traction all i need to be using that 104 mph for some low et's??? Oh well one good thing at the track....i beat al the lil imports there and even tree'd the hell out of a modded mach 1 and beat him!!! I ran 14.0 and he ran 13.8 but i came away with it barely! I'm thinkin to remedy my problem i need MT streets out back mounted on drag wheels (bogarts, etc), then i'm gonna do upr's rear suspension grip bow kit thingy. What you guys think? Damn i hate street tires.

high trap is from no traction at the beginning (with the high 60'). bring down the 60' and the ET will get lowered but your trap may drop, too.

I ran 150 or so passes in my 03 gt on stock carrier and axles and slicks. 1.7x average 60 fts

slicks are easier on the rear than drag radials.

i don't think his will do it with his current mods. With 4.30's or 4.56's maybe, but with 4.10's he'll need more power.

I run 1.7's on drag radials and there is still room for improvement.

most of the time my trap would stay the same or sometimes even go up on slicks. This is because on street tires you aren't always at WOT because you have to modulate the gas. On slicks you can go all out, so while you get to the finish faster, you are using more of your power.

They're not the only one Joe

Also my mph was 4-5 higher with dr's over streets because i was able to use more of the power starting off. With streets i have to throttle it through most of second.

all my runs have been within 2 mph(or all the good runs). everything from a 14.566@99.18(street tires, 2.4 60') down to the 13.633@98.67(dr's, 1.985 60'). Kinda sad only broke 100mph once and that was on street tires mph was 100.1

things changed during that time. tires, line lock to help with burn out and got a mail order tune

I'm worried that my axles might break with the ET streets and i can't afford a new rear end right now. Stupd question: can u put 31 spline moser axles on a bullitt without changing to a new differential? If i could do that than i can afford new axles as well. I just cant afford a new diff and axles and ET streets.

You could go with beefier 28 spline axles, but for that amount of work, why not get 31 spline? You can pick up a Ford TracLoc 31 spline diff for ~150 new (I think) and that will be plenty good enough.

150 will most likely be a rebuilt unit, but it will work the same.
I went the rebuilt unit route myself.
Also, I ran drag radials for a while on stock stuff with a good bit of power and my axles did not break. However, the diff went to poop. LOL
