I just installed BBK LTs with a BBK o/r x-pipe with the stock mufflers and I am in love!

It doesn't sound that good to me at all with the axle-backs removed. But if you really want to find out, it doesn't take that long to take 'em off. Putting them back on sucks though!

I used to use SLP Loudmouths, which aren't mufflers at all, just resonated tips.

I'm using the FRPP Stingers now and they're deeper than the SLPs but quieter at idle. On throttle they're both about as loud.

Mounting an off-road pipe will make it MUCH louder.

what is a good chambered muffler
have you actualy heard a car with them off ?

obviiously not its actualy much quetier then a full length header and off road h or x pipe with a cat back.

and im refering to replacing them with a straight pipe with a tip in the rear not just listening to the car with the axle back removed and the exhaust exiting under neath it it sounds totaly different.

I know my gt was quieter with the mufflers removed (had to try it when I first got it). Here is what I've tried:
Flowmaster axle back (sounds okay but I couldn't stand the tips)
Flowmaster axle back/ mac off-road X (sounded good at idle, but raspy as heck when you were on it)
SLP Loudmouths/ mac off-road X (retarded loud, couldn't even drive it like that)
SLP Loudmouths (my favorite to date, and I love the tips polished inside and out!)

I'm glad you like 'em!!

By the way, I've discovered a painfully simple way to fix that midsection flex on the CS rear bumper.....I'll PM you later about it...

At one point I had a Dr. Gas X after the stock Cats and removed my mufflers
just ran straight pipe and it didn't sound to loud. Just freakin Bad Ass. You could really hear the X.

this is what i had on the vert and it got looks all the time.(raul's car in the gallery under videos is O/rx with magnaflow CB.)

IMO Off road pipes make the difference ESPECIALLY on the 05-07's. If you want to be noticed ditch the cats and match the x/h to the proper muffler type.

What would be the proper muffler type of a hooker O/R x pipe. I dont want it too loud or drone while at crusing speeds. im gonna try the stock ones first
