What do ya'll think about kaufmann products?

I want to install a 460 w/ C6 automatic into a 93 4-cylinder coupe and this company has what I need but I need some opinions. Also does anybody know what size of rear end does a 85 F-250 3/4 ton truck have? Thanx

It is probably a Salisbury or Dana 60 rear end.Kaufmann was also one of the first on the 5.0 scene.I haven't heard much about them lately.

Yea I think so far it's going to take like $3,500 to do this. The only problem is cooling, I've heard the 460s run hot. Can't wait to do this, I'll probably post some pics when I start this project. :2thumbup: :threegear

Yes!I've heard they run really hot too.I'm sure someone makes a radiator that is up to task. Also stay away from underdrive pullies and go with a hi-flow water pump.

I wonder if a griffin's radiator will help, There is this website I forgot what it was called, this did guy also did a 460 in mustang and he said that in order to help cool the engine he removed the inside of the fender.

Most of the 460 guys remove the inner fender splash shields for cooling, from what I've seen at least.

Talk to 'NDSP' and 'Fox466' on www.dfwstangs.net , both of those guys are 460 gurus.

I thought about it a long time ago when I first got my 85, but it isn't worth the effort if you are looking for a 'mild' car. If you want a budget car that hauls ass, it is one of the better routes, imho.
