    What do yall think....

I am looking into a MAJOR mod list for my classic.

this is what I am thinking...

    Heights front end set:
this would get rid of the ugly shock towers and manual linkage and put in IFS in the front with tubular upper and lower control arms Q41 springs and shocks with rack-n-pinion steering and a 9:1 steering box.
(this would allow for a stroked 351W to go in):wowspring

and I am looking into getting either a Heights 3 or 4 link rear end kit with pan hard bar.

both kits would upgrade to disc brakes as well. remember I already have a T-5 swap in the car too.

what are yall' opinions on this? Photo document it and post on here?
If I can cut a deal with the owner and do a large purchase (bulk) how many people would be interested in getting one of these kits? (serious people ready to pay only please)

    lmk what you all think.
    Deep thought...
Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

heidts kits look good and seem priced well too

I plan on doing something similar to my 65, but not any time soon.

My coupe had alot of rust damage, so i don't have a problem modifying it alot. Plan on the MII front suspension, and a 4 link rear, both narrowed to fit wider tires. Also want the stroker windsor to a 427 ci., dual four bbl carbs under a tear drop hood. want to set the engine back a few inches, but not enough to have to sit further back. looking to put a T56 behind it so I can go low on the rear end and still have the overdrive for the road trips.

Photos for sure, I know I want to see it happen, even if it is not on my car

Well guys, I got the catalog in from Heights and it looks doable. I am working out the details but we will see right.
If I get this going would anyone be interested in reading a photo doc on the install?
If so I can post it. (going to do it for myself either way)
this way, If yall want one you can see it done.

It sounds like a good project. I would have loved to do that to my classics when I owned them just never seemed to get around to doing it.

    Those are great photos!

I know it is going to be intense, but I am sure I can do this fairly easily with hard work of course. As for the welding, I am going to have a friend of mine do it who is a multi-certified welder. Hopefully, all will go well with minimal problems (you know every project has them...lol)
but I guess if I have questions, I know who to call huh..

motor is out along with trans, interior and all. basically a rolling shell.
I will try and get the pictures up shortly. Just bought a sandblaster so I will be getting ready for paint soon. My welder moved so I may be looking for someone real good with a torch. Also, If you have a classic and need parts, including a 289 FULL MOTOR LMK

what part of SA are you in? I would like to see that Heidts suspension in person if that would be possible. Have a shop or at home garage? Wanted to do that at home, but still having trouble getting all the junk out of my garage so I can even see my car again. But at least it is out of the weather and the rust damage is slowing.
    How about some pics

Ok well, This weekend was a lot of work but a really fun time. The Cross member is installed and the suspension is at a "mock" build. I MUST tell ya'll that Darren from Xtreme Paint and Body was a Huge help. My buddy that was going to do the welding for me was unable to come in town and so he said he would help. His price was Very reasonable and he has great work ethic. His hospitality was better than that of the "big" shops. I would definitely recommend him and his shop for anyone that is in need of body work or help. Thank you again Darren.
    So who wants some pics?

Davis, it wouldn't do any good. You'd probably doubt that it would make any real power. Just like any naysayers with my coupe.........

Hey the car looks great, seeing it in person really let me see what I needed to see.
It was very nice meeting you and family. I will be back to see the rear suspension, and maybe if you need a hand with the install, hopefully I would be available to help.
Thanks alot and I guess I know who to call when I'm ready for my swap.

glad to see your making progress on your car. Have you done anything else to it recently and what kind of sand blaster did you get and price if you don't mind. That's something i've been looking at for my car.

I did finally get all the brake lines installed, the m/c installed, rear end re-installed, new leaf springs/shackles, rear shocks. Still need to bleed the brake system and discovered the rubber in the front spring perches are shot so i'll hold off on swapping the front coils and shocks till I can get the new spring perches.
